Paradise Valley
An updated expression of Santa Barbara Spanish Revival.
This home blends timeless elegance with modern touches—white stucco walls and a classic clay tile roof are accented by sleek black metal eaves and steel windows and doors.
The layout reflects the owners’ unique lifestyle. Rather than embracing the open-concept trend, they opted for a more traditional flow. The entry opens into a formal foyer and living room—kept intentionally separate to maintain a sense of occasion. This space, anchored by a grand piano and card table, opens onto a cozy back patio with a fireplace and TV area, perfect for evening gatherings.
The heart of the home is a scaled-down great room that includes a family kitchen and dining area, designed for intimate meals with their small family of two (and occasionally up to eight). A separate wing houses a formal dining room, wine storage, bar, and a cocktail seating area arranged around a fireplace—ideal for entertaining in a more refined setting.
Architecturally, the home honors its roots. From the foyer, vaulted archways stretch in both directions, their original plaster preserved even after the roof was removed and rebuilt.
Palm trees line the far side of the property, creating a resort-like backdrop. A cascading waterfall connects the spa to the pool, and limestone pavers surround the white plaster pool, which shimmers a brilliant blue in the sunlight. From the pool deck, a stunning view of Camelback Mountain enhances the property’s natural beauty.
